Don't let the 3-star review fool you. This is an amazing hot pot place! Highly recommended!
After trying the Little Sheep in San Gabriel, where the broth was too salty, I was a bit hesitant to try this one in Torrance. But man was I glad I came! The broth here was perfect, food was amazing, sauce choices were plenty, the interior was clean, and it was cheaper too at just $18.75 AYCE for weekend lunch! My friend and I ordered the Half & Half Pot (original + spicy), some vegetables and meatballs, and we basically just ordered as much beef and lamb as we could until we were absolutely full. We tried the pork as well, but they weren't as great as the beef and lamb they offered.
The name of the restaurant is actually "Happy Sheep" so don't be confused when you arrive. It is located in a plaza with plenty of parkings. You can check in on Yelp to get a free drink. -

Yikes. Came back not much later after my first review and they definitely lost some stars from this experience...
I think this place needs more staff. I always see the same employees here, and on this particularly busy night, they seemed overworked and a bit unhappy.
First, we were seated at a table where the stove was broken, so it wasn't heating correctly. We brought this to their attention after my husband and his brother both ate undercooked meatballs that were sitting in the hot broth for a rather long time. Our waitstaff just looked at the stove and responded with, "Oh this one is a little slow, please do not put all of your food in at once." Please note that we are not newbies to the Hot Pot game. I felt very disrespected for being treated like I don't know what the heck I'm doing. Our stove clearly wouldn't go above a level "9" on the dial when directly across from us, the heat indicator on the lovely couple's stove was at "20"! When the stove is working correctly, there is actually no problem with dumping in your ingredients at a quick pace (note I did not say dump everything in at once) because the broth is hot enough to cook everything quickly. However, when a stove is broken, the broth will never get hot enough and the food will take forever to cook, even if you space out the food distribution. We asked to be moved to a new table and the waitstaff obliged, although they seemed a bit annoyed.
Secondly, and lastly-I found a rusty wire in my food! I took in a mouthful of yummy noodles and veggies and bit down on something very tough. I literally pulled what looked like a rusty piece of wire hanger out of my mouth, and immediately lost my appetite. So did everyone else at the table. Fortunately, management handled this incident well and we were not charged for our meal that evening. However, because of this experience, I do not think I could ever eat there ever again. And I really, really loved this place :( Goodbye forever, Little/Happy Sheep. -

The food at this Little Sheep location is consistently good and the service consistently horrible. They are always understaffed and most of their servers are not friendly (probably because they are always understaffed and stressed). Although they changed their name to Happy Sheep, the staffing did not appear to change.
We were seated at a table with a broken heating surface and our soup would not boil. After trying to fix it for 15 minutes, we told the server and she appeared to be aware that this table was broken and asked us to wait a few more minutes for the soup to boil. After waiting 5 more minutes, we had our tables changed. We did not get an apology from anyone. We were then seated behind a group of Caucasians and noticed that the service provided to this group was way different than our experience. The waitress laughed and smiled, and even gave them free food. Although the food here is good, the experience left a sour taste in my mouth. -

We drove over an hour to try this place bc they had outdoor patio seating & dogs are allowed. I walk in and request 2 for outside seating. The rude asian lady with the long ponytail barks at me "PATIO IS CLOSED. No more outdoor seating!". There's 2 hours left until they close and she won't even consider or allow us to dine there! It's not even busy inside and there were only 4 people eating inside. The rude lady simply did not want to serve us bc she's LAZY LAZY LAZY.
I can't even imagine dining here for all you can eat, and you have to deal with her! She'll probably be lazy and say "times up! We ran lot of meat!"
NOT COMING BACK HERE AT ALL. With or without my dog. -

We have been here twice in the same week. In fact we drove and hour and a half to get here. Authentic hot pot.
